Hello everyone,

For almost 2 years now my wife’s family have been working tirelessly to make ends meet in Gaza. To make matters worse, recently my brother in law who works as a nurse in the hospital has been injured from an airstrike, resulting in his leg getting severely injured.

Add to that the growing famine and the skyrockiting prices of food and basic necessities, I truly cannot find the right words to describe this dire situation.

At the moment I am raising funds for my in-laws to help them with whatever they may need. They also help those around them when they can, as I describe below.

Question: how will the funds enter Gaza?

Many in Gaza today are using a card system that is topped up, almost exactly like a debit card. Gazan businessmen recieve money outside of Gaza and those inside can then use that money through something like a bank card. This is what my in-laws are using at the moment.

Right now there is little to no paper money in circulation, or at least in Gaza city and the northern areas as far as I know.

The funds gathered will go towards a number of things including:

1. Food – the cost of a bag of a small bag of flour can reach anywhere from a $100 plus depending on the day and what aid has entered the Gaza Strip 2. Medicine 3. School supplies (they’re currently running a kindergarten for the neighborhood kids to keep them learning and out of the streets.) 4. Clothes

To be completely transparent, funds may be used for other instances such as for escaping this active conflict zone if the Rafah border opens (which sadly, is highly unlikely at the moment).

The funds will go towards my in-laws in Gaza and be used by them in whatever capacity they see to help their situation. Any amount no matter how small makes a difference.

My in-laws have been volunteering and working in the hospitals throughout this war since day one. They have lost their home, close relatives, and their sources of livelihood because of this war.

Despite this however they are doing their best and try to help everyone around them as best they can. When they can they even distribute food for free in their neighborhood, as seen in the attached image from a few months back before this tactic of starvation hit full effect.

I’m hoping I too can help them with this campaign. Thank you dearly from the bottom of my heart for your support.
